It’s my fondest pleasure to welcome you to our website on behalf of the Board of Trustees, members and staff of the African Youth Development Foundation (AFRYDEF).
AFRYDEF was established in Nigeria in 1999 to be able to join other organizations in the world like the ICRC, Rotary, Oxfam, Worldvision, Actionaid, etc make a difference in the lives of others, especially in Africa, where poverty, war, diseases, HIV/AIDS, etc have ravaged millions of families and still on rampage.
There is no mincing word about it, the children of Africa need help to survive, be it in education, health, food security . . . name them!
We live here in Africa and we feel it, just like they say “he who wears the shoe, knows where it pinches!” Keeping silence only ignites and fuels the problems, that’s why we, as young people have come together to redefine our destinies and those of others by making frantic efforts to change our lives and those of other young people, children and women in the rural communities of Africa.
In as much as we know that the tasks we have elected to accomplish are not easy, we are very much convinced that with you, the job is half done. You can help by becoming a member or a donor, no amount is too small.
As a member or donor, your support will help us:

raise funds to pay medical bills for those who cannot afford to do so

raise funds to keep those poor boys and girls in school

collect clothes and food items and share them to poor families that need them

raise funds to build homes for as many homeless families as we can; etc, etc…
