We wish to appeal that you kindly accept to sponsor a
child for the African Youth Development Foundation (AFRYDEF).
In Africa, many families live under the
poverty line of USD 1 per day and therefore cannot afford to feed their
children. Think of it, how would these poor families then be able to pay for
their children’s medical needs as well as provide them with the basic
education needed to empower them for life?
These uneducated and unhealthy children therefore grow up into adulthood,
get married early and begin to make their own large families (of at least
ten children each) like their parents due to idleness and frustration.
The cycle of poverty continues . . !
Illiteracy, hunger, starvation, premature death, crime, kidnapping, armed
robbery, prostitution, economic-driven violence, etc becomes the other of
the day.
It is this cycle of poverty which has remained unattended to that gave
birth to AFRYDEF and its objectives and programmes in 1999.
Therefore, we wish to urge you to sponsor or adopt any of these children and women by making a donation to enable us provide their needs.

The little girl displayed here with her blind grand mother dropped out of school, simply because, her grandmother cannot afford to provide her with clothes, school materials needed to keep her in school.
As a widow, the little girl is her only inheritance from her deceased daughter. Being blind, the little girl also debuts as her guidian. They live in a leaking thatched roof. Can you sponsor her and her grand ma? |
