AFRYDEF Puts Smiles on the faces of Widows in Nigeria.
On April 05, 2009 at Atta, Ikeduru Local Government Area of Imo State, Nigeria, AFRYDEF put smiles on the faces of over 100 poor widows and less privileged persons drawn from the 27 Local Government Areas of Imo State, Nigeria.
In line with its objectives of caring for the poor and less privileged persons in the society, AFRYDEF donated and shared 60 one-quarter bags of rice, buckets of beans, clothings, wrappers and other food items to poor widows at the Women of Excellence’s conference organized at Atta, Ikeduru by the Presiding Bishop and members of the Soulwinners Evangelistic Ministries International.
Nollywood Star, Mrs. Patience Ozokwor was there at the ceremony and joined our Put a Smile Project team in sharing the largesse to the widows. It was really an interesting scene, seeing poor widows jubilating and giving thanks to God for the Divine Provision.

Funds for the provision of these items were mobilized from kind-hearted individuals and philanthropists from Owerri, Imo State, Nigeria.
